Polish listings use words that do not always translate the way you expect. Knowing what each category includes saves the conversation about missing breakfast or a missing reception desk.

Krakow stays

What you get in each category

Hotel. Reception, daily housekeeping, breakfast usually available for a fee or included. No kitchen, one room. Makes sense for one or two nights, or when someone else is paying.

Aparthotel. A hotel with kitchenettes. You get a reception desk and daily cleaning, plus a hob and fridge. Prices sit between hotels and apartments.

Apartment. A whole flat with its own kitchen, bathroom and usually a washing machine, rented to one party. No reception, entry by code, cleaning after the stay rather than daily. This is what we run.

Hostel and private room. Beds in shared rooms, or a room inside someone's flat with a shared bathroom and kitchen. Cheapest per person, least privacy.

There is no tourist tax added at check-in in Krakow for short stays, and we take no deposit.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a reception or someone to meet us?

No. You receive an entry code by message before arrival and can check in at any hour.

Do I need to register with anyone on arrival?

No. Guest details are taken at booking and nothing needs to be shown at the door.

Is breakfast available?

We do not serve breakfast. The flat has a full kitchen and there is a grocery shop a hundred metres from the entrance.

Is cleaning done during the stay?

Not as standard. For stays longer than a week we arrange it individually.

Are there extra charges at check-in?

No. The rate shown in the calendar is the final price per night, with no service fee. Rates for three and four guests are higher and shown once you pick the number of people.
