Almost every rented flat in Poland has a washing machine, a kettle, a fridge and a proper hob. Dishwashers are common in renovated flats and rare in older ones. Ours has one, along with a coffee machine.

Air conditioning is not standard in Polish buildings, including new ones, because summers used to be milder than they are now. This flat has it, and in July that is the difference between sleeping and not sleeping.

Two things are missing here and both are worth knowing: there is no oven and no microwave. Cooking happens on the hob. Bathrooms in Poland increasingly have showers rather than baths, and this one is a shower.
