Three things that change once you sleep inside the ring

Sound. Restaurants and bars around Grodzka, Florianska and Szewska serve late, deliveries start around six in the morning, and the courtyards carry every noise upward. Windows facing the street mean sleeping with them shut, which in July is a problem of its own.

Price. An address inside the Planty is the most expensive in the city, and the gap widens on weekends and in high season. The same money one district out buys more space or a longer stay.

Cars. The Old Town has a restricted traffic zone and paid parking, and reaching some addresses by car is simply not allowed. In Podgorze you can drive to the door, although the street itself is in a paid parking zone.

Our windows face an internal courtyard, so the flat stays quiet even on Friday nights.

Frequently asked questions

Is every Old Town apartment noisy?

No. Flats with courtyard-facing windows and no bar in the building are fine, but there are fewer of them and they cost more.

Can I drive to the apartment in Podgorze?

Yes, the street is not in the restricted traffic zone. Parking on the street is paid and there is no parking space at the building.

How long is a taxi from the Main Square?

Usually a few minutes, since the route crosses a bridge outside the restricted zone. At peak times walking can be faster.

Does the apartment have air conditioning?

Yes, controlled from inside the flat. It matters in July, when the city stays warm after dark.

What is the trade-off of staying outside the ring?

One walk of twenty to twenty-five minutes per day, or a short tram ride, in exchange for quiet nights and a lower rate.
