The geography of a good evening

Dinner happens in Kazimierz. Small restaurants, Jewish and Israeli kitchens, wine bars, all within a few blocks around Jozefa and Meiselsa streets. Book ahead at weekends; midweek you can walk in.

Sunset happens on the river. The footbridge viewing platform is five minutes from our door and looks across at Kazimierz. Krakus Mound, twenty-five minutes uphill, gives you the whole city with the sun going down behind it.

Sleep happens in Podgorze. Once you cross back over the footbridge the streets are residential and the noise stops. The building has long-term residents, quiet hours from ten, and courtyard-facing windows.

The bathroom has a shower, not a bath. Couples looking for a tub should keep looking, and we would rather say it here.
